Revamping incineration unit SUEZ Rambervillers (Vosges), France

PROJECT ESSENTIALS

As part of the renewal of the DSP of the Rambervillers incineration unit in the Vosges (capacity of 90,000t / year), SUEZ got the plant concession contract, including the modernization of the treatment equipment and the replacement of the three existing lines by a single new line .

Boccard's specialized energy teams were commissioned to carry out the Turbine and Steam Cycle lot. This turnkey project, with a performance engagement, included the installation of the turbo-alternator unit, the associated water-steam cycle, as well as the circuit interfacing with the urban heating network .

The objective was to minimize the interruption of the plant's production, since all the work was carried out in conjunction with the other eight lots. Planning and organizing was a constant challenge.

Our pre-project team was able to offer a particularly differentiating technical solution thanks to its technological expertise and its anticipation to customer needs.

Our very high efficiency steam turbine transforms the energy resulting from the combustion of household waste into electricity (injection of 8 MW into the EDF network) and heat to supply the urban distribution network.

KEY points

Turnkey project: modernization of equipement and replacements of existing lines
77,000 tonnes of waste treated thanks to better sorting by individuals and enterprises (91,000 tonnes of waste burned before revamping)
Expertise in water-steam cycle
