Complete continuous heat treatment unit for vegetable proteins

PROJECT ESSENTIALS

This Belgian company contacted our experts in agro-food processes and ingredients in order to extend the period of activity of its plant for the heat treatment of vegetable protein. The goal was continuous production, 24/7.

Our teams produced and installed a complete continuous heat treatment unit for vegetable proteins. At the heart of the project was the heat treatment before drying the proteins. One of the elements of this part, the degasifier, is the result of our collaboration with the customer.

Considering that the processed vegetable protein is particularly viscous, our experts chose to install a scraper surface exchanger. This in order to reach the 340°C required for the product sterilization and to avoid the protein from sticking to the walls.

This was the first time our staff worked on this product and with this company, the results obtained underline their adaptability.
