Celui-ci est le plus puissant des<b>\u00a0acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs de particules<\/b>\u00a0au monde. Des protons de tr\u00e8s haute \u00e9nergie circulant sous vide dans des faisceaux tournant \u00e0 contre sens, se choqueront les uns contre les autres, dans le but de rechercher des indices de la super sym\u00e9trie, la mati\u00e8re noire et l&rsquo;origine de la masse des particules \u00e9l\u00e9mentaires.<br \/><br \/>Ces protons, acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9s quasiment \u00e0 la vitesse de la lumi\u00e8re et maintenus en circulation pendant des heures, sont guid\u00e9s par des aimants supraconducteurs tr\u00e8s puissants. Le champ magn\u00e9tique recherch\u00e9 dans cette op\u00e9ration, n&rsquo;est possible \u00e0 atteindre qu&rsquo;en refroidissant ces aimants par des<b>\u00a0techniques cryog\u00e9niques de pointe<\/b>.<br \/><br \/>Dans le LHC, ces techniques qui utilisent les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de l&rsquo;azote et de l&rsquo;h\u00e9lium ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ues par Air Liquide Advanced Technologies.<br \/><br \/>La prestation de Boccard sur ce projet, a \u00e9t\u00e9 de<b>\u00a0construire les 530 modules de tuyauterie qui composent l&rsquo;anneau du Large Hadron Collider<\/b>. Ces travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans notre<b>\u00a0atelier du Portugal qui est certifi\u00e9 ALTAL et ISO 9001<\/b>.
